BAMS
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course at Chandrasekhar Ayurveda College, Koilahan is a 5.5 year undergraduate program that includes a one-year internship. The course covers the study of Ayurveda and related subjects such as Rachana Sharira, Kriya Sharira, Dravyaguna, Svasthavritta and Yoga, Roga Nidana and Vikriti Vijnana, Kaya Chikitsa, Kaumara Bhritya, Prasuti Tantra, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, and modern subjects like anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic medicine, E.N.T, gynecology and obstetrics, ophthalmology, and principles of surgery. The syllabus also includes ancient and medieval classics, sometimes in the Sanskrit language. The college aims to provide a value-based education and mould the character of students through synergy of science and spirituality, and to provide excellent traditional and classical Ayurvedic education.
